Starting guidance for beginners and everyday skipping.

Find your rhythm before you trim.

Test first. Cut last.
  1. Set the length

Open the handle, set the cord and secure the lock. Keep excess cord safely contained for your fit check.

  2. Try a few skips

Keep your hands near your hips. Try easy jumps and adjust gradually until the rope feels comfortable.

  3. Trim once satisfied

Only cut excess cord after checking the fit. Keep enough cord for the locking mechanism, then secure and close the handle.

Already skipping confidently?

This finder gives a beginner-friendly starting estimate. If you already have a rope that feels right, measure its cord between the handles and use that as a reference. Hand position, technique and skipping style can change your preferred length. Repeated catches can also come from timing, so check your technique before trimming.
